Palaka Face Mask
Spreading aloha + palaka
To date this project has donated over $600 to the Maui Food Bank and hundreds of masks to essential workers. Mahalo nui lāhui!
**Now with an opening so you can add a filter if you like! **We updated our pattern so it can fit different sized heads more easily. Ties can either go around the head or behind the ears. Both are supah comfy for extended wear.
Our community is in need and we're trying to help. According to the latest from the CDC, protective fabric coverings are recommended when you leave home for essential things. Wearing a fabric face mask or other covering may not protect you from contracting a virus but it WILL help to keep your germs to yourself when worn with proper hand washing.
Each purchase includes our free shipping promo and a $2 donation to the Maui Food Bank. We're also donating to our essential workers in need. If that's you, email or DM us!
Spreading aloha and palaka in these times of need, and not germs.
E mālama pono, e ola nō!
PLEASE BE AWARE THESE ARE NOT MEDICAL GRADE SURGICAL OR N95 MASKS AND WE MAKE NO CLAIM THAT THESE WILL DECREASE YOUR RISK OF CONTRACTING DISEASE. Surgical and N95 masks should only be used if you are sick or in the medical field. Currently, the CDC and WHO have recommended that people wear face covers when in public places. Studies show that a fabric mask should be able to block about 60%+. Read more here. Overall, wearing face covers in public will help to keep asymptomatic carriers from spreading the virus.
PROPER USAGE INCLUDES: mask should cover both your nose and your chin. After each use, mask should be laundered. Machine wash and tumble dry.
