Hōlei

One of our endemic and endangered small, flowering trees. Fewer than 400 trees are believed to exist, mostly in protected forest reserves along Haleakalā - Makawao Forest and Auwahi Forest. The flowers are a pale, greenish white with a fragrance similar to gardenia or white ginger.
